Nahed Eshaq’s list of accomplishments is quite a lengthy one. This astute Bahraini businesswoman has businesses in several fields like art, design, and architecture among others. She is also well known for her contributions to Bahrain’s contemporary art scene.
As the Creative Director and partner at Plan Properties, she designed the distinguished investment project ‘District One’ and ‘District Two’. She and her husband founded ‘D. Haus’ specialises in furniture with branches in Jeddah & Riyadh.
She is the founder of the leading floral art brand ‘The Fleurologist’ and ‘Link Atelier’, which showcases luxury furniture and accessories brands from Europe.
She received the 2023 International Women’s Entrepreneurship Challenge (IWEC) New York award held in Italy.
She also loves horseback riding and has three beautiful children.
Reflecting on your journey as a woman leader, what are some key lessons you have learned along the way?
As I reflect upon my journey as a leader, I have come to realise that the most profound impact is achieved by setting a good example and by being true to one’s self. It is also essential to surround oneself with individuals who offer support and encouragement, while also challenging one to reach one’s full potential.
What are some of the biggest challenges facing women in the workplace today, and how do you see us overcoming them?
In today’s world, women still face many challenges, but one of the most pressing is the need for greater representation in leadership positions. It is imperative that we continue to advocate for equal opportunities and highlight the achievements of women in all industries.
What inspires you to continue breaking barriers and achieving new heights in your career?
What fuels my passion to shatter boundaries and reach new summits in my career is the awareness that I am paving the way for generations to come. I aspire to create a world where everyone has an equal opportunity to thrive, irrespective of their gender. I am unwavering in my commitment to empowering women and fostering their involvement to amplify creativity, innovation, and excellence.
