His familiar friendly face has been a constant for Porsche owners and fans in Bahrain for the last nine years. As the General Manager of Porsche in Bahrain, he has been instrumental in raising the bar for sales volumes and outstanding customer delight for the brand. As he takes over as the new General Manager of Bentley and Lamborghini Colin Sattar speaks to Life N Style about his exciting plans for these two luxury brands.
“Having worked with these prestigious brands previously, I am proud of having the opportunity to work with them again and take them to new heights. I truly hope to apply to Bentley and Lamborghini all that I have learned working with Porsche for the past decade. My main goal in 2023 is to connect and engage with Bentley and Lamborghini Bahrain customers and ensure they receive the same outstanding levels of customer service across both Sales and Service departments.
Luxury car enthusiasts are going to be spoilt for choice this year as both Bentley and Lamborghini have some exceptional models up for launch in 2023, “With Bentley Bahrain, we have the Bentayga EWB and Flying Spur Hybrid coming to the market soon and with Lamborghini Bahrain, we have the Huracan Tecnica and Urus Performante on their way soon as well. So stay tuned!”
With over 3 decades of experience in luxury cars like Bentley, Lamborghini, Porsche, McLaren and Bugatti, in the UK, KSA and Bahrain, it’s safe to assume luxury cars are a part of Colin’s DNA. So it was tough to find out which cars are his favorites. “This is certainly a very difficult question to answer as I have had the good fortune of experiencing many amazing vehicles! That said, the Porsche 911 Turbo and the Bentley Bentayga are definitely among my top 5 choice of cars. Everyone has a dream car and I would have to say that the fast performance and refined luxury of the Bentley Continental GT is what makes it my overall dream car”, he says.
Passionate about his work, success is what motivates him to do a good job, says Colin. But work apart, “My number one priority is my family. Apart from that, I like helping people and making a difference in people’s lives. Finally, I am a very keen sportsman and participate in most sports. When I am not working, I like to play Golf, Padel, Cricket and Football and head to someplace quiet to relax, – Amwaj is usually my preferred location”, says Colin.
Bahrain is like a second home to Colin, having been in the region for over ten years, “I came to Bahrain looking for opportunities and career development and Bahrain delivered. What I love most about Bahrain is the fantastic and amazing people who are very warm and welcoming.”
