The Arab Women Authority announced the selection of Bahraini Ahdeya Ahmed Al-Sayed as a member of its Board of Trustees in the newly formed board.
In a press statement issued today, the Media Office of the Arab Women Authority highlighted that Ahdeya Al-Sayed was chosen and entrusted with the portfolio of regional and international organizations in recognition of her impactful contributions in showcasing the successes of Arab women on regional and international platforms.
Ahdeya Al-Sayed’s career is distinguished by her extensive involvement in public service. She has held prominent positions, including Chairwoman of the Bahrain Journalists Association, a member of the International Federation of Journalists, and spokesperson for parliamentary elections in the Kingdom of Bahrain. She has also served as a media advisor for the Ministries of Cabinet Affairs and Information. Holding a master’s degree in mass communication from the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom, she received the Arab Women in Journalism Award from the Arab Women Organization in London and was recognized by the Voice of Women Now organization in Los Angeles, California, with the Women Making Change Award during the 10th Voice of Women Film Festival.
