Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has unveiled “Spirit of Expression,” a trio of magnificent Bespoke commissions showcasing the Ghost Extended, Phantom Extended, and Spectre models. These creations mark the first collaboration between Rolls-Royce designers in Goodwood and the newly established Private Office Shanghai.
The “Spirit of Expression” exemplifies the tastes of China’s young, progressive clientele. Each car boasts a unique exterior colour inspired by breathtaking global destinations favoured by these clients. From the vibrant Lantana flower in South America to the captivating sunsets of Boracay Island, these hues capture fleeting moments in time.
Inside, a recurring celestial motif celebrates the night sky above these special locations, reflecting the awe-inspiring power of the stars.
A Global Creative Collaboration
These one-of-a-kind commissions represent a global design partnership. Rolls-Royce’s Goodwood design team collaborated with the Bespoke designer stationed in Shanghai, highlighting the marque’s commitment to regional preferences. This growing Private Office network allows Rolls-Royce to immerse its creative minds in luxury hubs worldwide, fostering deeper client connections and an elevated Bespoke experience.
A Closer Look at the Bespoke Commissions: Rolls-Royce Phantom Extended “Magnetism”
This modern interpretation of the pinnacle Phantom model embodies the allure of a moonlit beach under a star-studded sky. The two-tone exterior features Cala Luna Sand, reflecting the beach’s pale sands, and Kabira Blue, reminiscent of the ocean meeting the night sky. A hand-painted double coachline in Arctic White and Cala Luna Sand adds a finishing touch.

The celestial theme continues inside with a mesmerizing Starlight Headliner. Hundreds of hand-placed Galileo Blue and White “stars” come alive with eight “shooting stars.” The intricate motif extends to the rear waterfall, Gallery artwork, and passenger panel, all meticulously crafted in stainless steel and thread.
Rolls-Royce Spectre “Escapism”
This Spectre evokes the vibrant tropics of South America. The two-tone exterior features celebratory Lantana Red, referencing the vibrant Lantana flower, and a more subdued Tempest Grey. The interior is a luxurious blend of Selby Grey, Purple Silk, and Sunset leathers, with the latter hue featured in piping, stitching, and monograms. The Starlight Headliner mirrors this theme with hundreds of fiber-optic “stars” in Sunset and White.

Rolls-Royce Ghost Extended “Expressionism”
The “Expressionism” commission unleashes the Ghost’s potential for personalization. The striking Boracay Blue exterior captures the breathtaking hues of a Boracay Island sunset. A single, hand-painted Lime Green coachline subtly references the island’s lush flora. The interior features Black and Arctic White leather with Lime Green accents, extending to piping, stitching, and monograms.
The inner door pockets showcase a captivating, three-dimensional celestial motif embroidered in Lime Green. A total of over 104,000 stitches create this intricate design. The Starlight Headliner echoes this motif with a vibrant, wave-like pattern of Lime Green and White “stars.”
