The ICC Men’s Cricket Trophy tour is coming to Bahrain. The prestigious silverware will be here for two days – the 12th and 13th of August and it is a big deal!

The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup is one of the biggest events in world sport. It is the 3rd most-viewed sports event in the world after the Summer Olympics and the FIFA World Cup with a viewership of 2.5 billion across the globe.
So how did Bahrain get a spot in the trophy tour for one of the biggest sporting events in the world?

It was through the consistent efforts of Bahrain Cricket Federation and KHK Sports and their strategic vision. Under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa and the guidance of our Chairman, who is also the Chairman of the Advisory board of the BCF, Mr Mohammad Mansoor, a comprehensive plan was presented to the ICC and everything fell into place. HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa will also be unveiling the trophy when it reaches the island in a gala ceremony where the Deputy Chairman of International Cricket Council, Mr Imran Khwaja will also be present.
As a cricket enthusiast, Mr Mansoor launched the first-ever franchise-based T20 Cricket Premier League in the Kingdom and his consistent efforts with the support of KHK Sports and its CEO, Mr Mohammad Shahid, have elevated the status of cricket in Bahrain.

The trophy will be photographed at iconic locations across Bahrain & fans will get an opportunity to take photographs with it at the Bahrain International Circuit.
As the BCF marches on in its quest to better its presence on the global cricketing stage, the ICC trophy’s pitstop in Bahrain is bound to be a memorable event.
