The emphasis of the high jewellery brands this year was on exquisite, bold designs and colourful gems that wowed!

High jewellery collections instil a desire to collect one-of-a-kind-jewels, much in the same way that art lovers build art collections. Avid collectors have a hedonist approach to Haute Joaillerie and here is a round-up of the best pieces of this year’s collections.
Boucheron’s Femme Sable Necklace

A palette of beige, sand and blonds illuminated by the sunlight as the warm wind sculpts a silhouette on the dunes: the Femme Sable (Sand Woman) set is an invitation to a dream-like desert, a vast space of harmonious curves, home to extraordinary animals.
Here stones meet plants and precious materials meet rattan. High Jewelry traditionally gives a suppleness to hard materials, such as metals and stones; here, the craft rigidifies a supple natural material, to create this spectacular association of rattan and diamonds.

BOIS DIAMANT BROOCH

Another gem from the Maison, Boucheron’s creative director Claire Choisne envisioned outlandish flora and fauna in the house’s 2022 collection, Ailleurs, meaning Elsewhere. It is a place populated by fierce gazelles with sensuous horns morphed into rings and wooden flowers to be worn as brooches.

Louis Vuitton’s Grace Necklace

Revealed in a five-themed multi-dimensional journey, the very essence of Louis Vuitton’s spirit is captured in the boldness, novelty, and singular intensity of the fourth High Jewelry Collection designed by Francesca Amfitheatrof.
Inspired by the phoenix, the transformative power of the journey finds its wings in the realm of the imagination. The necklace and the exquisite designs that form this set find the perfect balance between strength and grace, celebrating the Louis Vuitton woman’s magical ability to soar to new heights.
Forming a double V, baguette-cut diamonds line the latticework and sit on a woman’s neckline with Grace and the levity of a bird. The second torque of brilliant-cut diamonds rises around the neckline in a play of elevated patterns and perfect symmetry.
Bvlgari’s Mediterranean Reverie necklace

Celebration of colours set Bvlgari’s new line on fire. The firework of coloured gemstones verging towards superlative sizes and intensified by the house’s signature cabochon cut, Bulgari can claim the title of emperor of colours in the world of jewellery. The Mediterranean Reverie necklace donned by Anne Hathaway at the Cannes Film Festival, featuring a rare Sri Lankan sapphire of 107.15ct evoking the Mediterranean Sea around Capri’s famed Blue Grotto.
Cartier’s Beautes du Monde – Iwana Necklace

Seeing the beauty of the world, preserving it, and above all, enriching it, are values that have continuously influenced the Maison’s philosophy. The latest Beautés du Monde High Jewellery collection continues this tradition. It is a testament to this fascination with the diversity of beauty that is so dear to Cartier. It corrals the Maison’s singular eye in defining beauty through the abundant inspirations offered by cultures, as well as nature where fauna and flora sit at the helm.
