K-pop is taking over the world, and we’re here for it! Whether you love them or loathe them you cannot ignore them as BTS has paved a way for itself in every country. So it comes as no surprise that Dior announced Park Jimin as its global ambassador.
At the recent Paris Fashion Week, Jimin made a memorable first appearance as the global ambassador. This comes just in time for his latest single, “Vibe,” on which he collaborated with K-Pop veteran Taeyang of Big Bang.
The fashion house had a long-standing relationship with the band when they were stylists for their ‘Love Yourself: Speak Yourself’ world tour. He also wore Dior in the official “Dynamite” and “Butter” teaser photos for 2020, as well as in his 2020 “Stay Gold” performance on CDTV and the W Korea 2023 February issue. This bond with Kim Jones, the Artistic Director of Dior Menswear, created in 2019 has now been solidified with this contract. Kim Young-jin, a fashion stylist and director, also released photographs of his work with Jimin on Instagram, which featured the K-pop idol dressed in a Dior ensemble including a fleece jacket, jumper vest, and blazer.
