On 14 January 2023, Miss Universe USA 2023, R’Bonney Gabriel was crowned Miss Universe 2023.
The prestigious pageant, formed in 1952 is one of the most-watched pageants in the world! This year the competition drew in 84 participants from across the world, with extravagant outfits representing their country, culture, ethnicity, and elegance.
Miss Universe 2023, R’Bonney Gabriel is the first Filipino American to win the Miss USA title and is also the CEO of her own sustainable clothing line. She is a very passionate leader and has been teaching sewing classes to women who survived human trafficking.
Her final raven-black evening gown had intricate cuts adorned with blue and purple gemstones, similar to that of the Miss Universe Crown. As though it was made just for her!
Miss Universe Bahrain 2023, Evlin Khalifa also participated in the competition and proved that Arab girls are beautiful, talented, and smart as she put forth a powerful message breaking stereotypes about Arab women!
The first runner-up was Amanda Dudamel, Miss Universe Venezuela 2022. The second runner-up was Andreina Martinez Founier, Miss Universe Dominican Republic 2022.
