‘Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams’ Exhibition Moves to Riyadh
The Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams exhibition makes its way to the Saudi National Museum in Riyadh, running from November 21, 2024, to April 2, 2025, as part of Riyadh Season 2024. This showcase celebrates the deep ties between Dior and Saudi Arabia.
Following its success at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, the exhibition, curated by Florence Müller and scenographer Nathalie Crinière, brings over 75 years of creative audacity to life. Dior’s pioneering vision continues to inspire the world of fashion today.
Visitors can explore the creative universe of Dior, from the iconic 30 Montaigne address to portraits of creative directors by Yan Pei-Ming. A pop-inspired space highlights the launch of Miss Dior, the first ready-to-wear collection, alongside the effervescence of the Sixties. Dior’s iconic codes unfold throughout the exhibition, including the Colorama—an enchanting display of accessories that reaffirms their importance in the brand’s legacy. The exhibition also honors the iconic Lady Dior bag through the Dior Lady Art project.
In a nod to the shared appreciation between Dior and Saudi Arabia for nature, the exhibition features an enchanting display inspired by the Al-‘Ula oasis. Dresses in mesmerizing shades evoke the desert’s sun-kissed hues, reflecting the timeless beauty of the region.
This magnificent exhibition, bridging the past and present, is a celebration of Dior’s elegance, crafted in the name of dreams.
