Make-up trends can be fickle, something that is IN this season can be OUT the next. And then there are trends that have been favourites for several years. We have been keeping an eye on the latest in beauty and make-up from London to Paris and Dubai, trendspotting fashion houses and makeup artists on the runway, backstage, and over social media. And here are the biggest trends that are going to be in Style in Spring 2023
BOLD LIPS
The end of the mandatory mask mandates has brought out big bright lips not just on runways but also in real life. Bold lips made an appearance with fashion houses like Gucci, Roberto Cavalli, Etro and Versace. Blue, orange and reds were seen taking center stage alongside playful neons.

PLAYFUL EYES
DSquared2, Valentino, Alice + Olivia’s NYFW presentations and a whole lot more swooned us with brightly coloured pop-eyes. Blue is again seen as the dominant colour of choice. Another trend that stood out – Metallic eyes! Chloé, Dries Van Noten, Elie Saab and Dior explored metallic-eye details that make a statement round the clock, both day and night.

SUPER BLUSH
Etro put forward some larger-than-life super-blush looks, while Christian Cowan displayed the ‘more is more’ super-blush look that was both alluring and glamorous. Smashbox Cosmetics’ artist Lori Taylor Davis showed off her blush styles extending up to the forehead – along with a touch of it on the chin; while at the ALIÉTTE Spring/Summer 2023 show MUA Keita Moore brings us a different blush look onto the temples and across the cheekbones

WINGED EYES
Moschino chose to go with the classic winged look and Versace displayed quintessential rich, thick and luxuriant wings. Striking eyeliner appeared to be the dominant look in spring 2023 shows. At least if designers like Dior, and Prada are any indicator, exaggerated dramatic eyes are going to be trending all over the shop.

BLEACHED EYEBROWS
The Met Gala 2022 and the fashion weeks that followed saw numerous A-list stars bleach their eyebrows and strut with confidence! The hashtags #bleachedbrows and #bleacheyebrows had 515 million viewers, rest assured, these brows are staying in trend for a while!
