The Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), celebrated as The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East, launched the 2025/2026 Bahrain Drag Racing Championship with a spectacular season opener. With nearly 200 racers from across the GCC and beyond, the quarter-mile strip in Sakhir roared alive in one of the region’s most competitive drag racing showdowns.

- 70 motorbike racers
representing Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the UAE.

Saudi drivers delivered standout performances across the 9.0 Index, Street Fight Bikes 9.5, Pro Street Bikes, and Outlaw Bikes categories. Kuwaiti racers followed closely—clinching wins in the 4.8 Index, Outlaw 6-Cylinder, Competition 4.5, and 8.5 Index Bikes classes. These victories reflect a growing competitive edge across GCC motorsport culture, highlighting the Bahrain Drag Racing Championship as the region’s ultimate battleground.
UAE’s Faisal Alshehhi Closes the Night with a Massive Win
Adding to the international spirit, the UAE’s Faisal Alshehhi sealed victory in the Pro 29.5 V8 final—marking one of the night’s most anticipated showdowns. His smooth, controlled run reinforced the UAE’s rising presence in Middle Eastern drag racing.
