The skies at the Sakhir Air Base came alive as the much-anticipated Bahrain International Airshow made a comeback after four long years!
Inaugurated by His Royal Highness, Crown Prince and Prime Minister Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the show was a runaway hit with participation from over 180 companies from over 30 countries taking part.
The atmosphere was abuzz with the sights and sounds of the world’s most renowned air display teams and aircraft, with showcases from the Gulf Air 787, RBAF, JF-17, Fursan Al Emarat, UAE Mirage 2000, RSAF Typhoon, USAF F-16 demo team, Global Stars, Red Arrows, DHL B767-300 Flypast, UAE F16, Saudi Hawks and P-8 flypast.
On the business front, several key deals were inked at the airshow including the purchase of Pratt & Whitney engines by Royal Jordanian and a codeshare partnership between Emirates and Gulf Air.
The air show also provided the perfect opportunity to make a move towards private aviation and decide between the several models on display.
