Building on the resounding success of its 2023/24 season, the Royal Opera House Muscat (ROHM) is set to announce its eagerly awaited new lineup of performances. The official launch event will take place on August 18, 2024, at 11:00 AM GST, and will be live-streamed on the ROHM YouTube channel.
Following the announcement, tickets for the 2024/25 season will be available for purchase on the ROHM website. Opera, ballet, and music enthusiasts are encouraged to join the virtual launch and be among the first to discover the exciting programs in store.
Umberto Fanni, Director General and Artistic Director of ROHM, expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming season. “We are thrilled to unveil our new season to our loyal audience,” he said. “This year promises an extraordinary array of performances, featuring world-class talent and innovative productions.”
The previous season at ROHM was a triumph, captivating audiences with a diverse range of shows. Highlights included the iconic opera The Barber of Seville, the mesmerizing Raymonda by the Bolshoi Ballet, the family-friendly Symphony on Ice, and a groundbreaking co-production of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream with Teatro Carlo Felice di Genoa. Additionally, the sold-out Swan Lake acrobatic ballet by Xi’An Acrobatic Troupe of China, the high-energy percussion show Stomp, and the unforgettable Muscat debut of renowned soprano Sonya Yoncheva in Homage to Maria Callas were among the season’s standout performances.
