After the immense success of its first two editions, Fashion Week – Paris to Manama, an initiative of the Cooperation and Cultural Action Service, the Embassy of France in Bahrain is back for its third edition this winter.

The initiative highlights the cooperation in the field of fashion between the Kingdom of Bahrain and France and aims to shine a spotlight on the talented emerging designers of the Kingdom of Bahrain through French and international expertise and guidance. It also brings French fashion savoir-faire to the local market, creates fashion opportunities, and encourages networking and exchanges between both countries.
With the support of Tamkeen, three of the five awarded designers of the last edition are, at this very moment, in Paris, following a program at the Institut Français de la Mode, one the biggest institutes in the world specialising in fashion, luxury goods, couture and textiles.

The FWPM runs from 22nd to 26th of October and consists of two main parts – the first is a contest between designers, and the fifteen finalists will be selected by an international jury. These designers will have the opportunity to display a six-piece capsule collection and a fashion masterpiece themed especially for this fashion week. The jury will select one designer who will have the opportunity to go to France and gain in-depth industry knowledge from a summer program.
The second aspect of the fashion week is hearing from industry professionals and networking.
The week will culminate with a grand finale, on the 26th of October, which includes a fashion show highlighting the collection created by the finalists.
