Today, 20 June marks a historical date for the Bahrain Institute for Pearls and Gemstones (DANAT). DANAT is set to host its first-ever international auction for natural pearls at its headquarters, located at the prestigious Bahrain World Trade Centre in Manama.
The allure of the Bahrain pearl is no hidden fact as the world has seen it on numerous royals and celebrities. Rightfully called the “pearl of the Gulf” this event is significant for Bahrain because it serves as a key destination for this auction. The auction, which began on June 7 in the United States by the Rapaport Group, has already traveled to cities both within and outside of the United States.

“We eagerly anticipate collaborating with Rapaport International Group to foster the growth of the natural pearl market. This endeavor aligns with the fourth objective of the national plan aimed at reviving the pearl sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain,” Noora Jamsheer, CEO of DANAT Institute, said.
Rapaport International Group will manage the auctions in collaboration with a number of specialized companies. Individual participation in the auction will be unavailable as this is an extremely exclusive auction.
