The gastronomy of Spain is renowned for its flamboyant flavours, vibrant colours, and heartiness influenced by the geographical location and the people who settled on the Iberian Peninsula. Bathed by the Atlantic and the Mediterranean, the Spanish diet is rich in seafood. In the countryside, vegetables and meats are valued in broths, soups, and stews.

Salero, at the Westin Hotel Bahrain, is one of the first authentic real Spanish restaurants in Bahrain. Never a dull moment at this casual contemporary dining restaurant with live cooking and entertainment including very exuberant Flamenco dancers.
Chef Jordi Bataller, the man behind the flavours of Salero, inherited his passion for cooking from his mother and grandmothers and stayed true to their traditional Spanish recipes.
The menu includes a large variety of different Spanish delicacies from tapas, to croquetas, to a selection of seafood, and succulent meat dishes. Some of the Chef’s recommended dishes include Solomillo de Ternera en Costra de Queso Manchego – juicy beef tenderloin with a cheese crust, Suquet de Pescado – a mouth-watering Catalonian fish & mussel stew, & Costilla de Vacuno 36 Horas – tender and moist beef rib that is braised for 36 hours.
With the festive season around the corner, Salero has a special line-up in place – including a Christmas Eve dinner, a Christmas Brunch & a New Year’s Eve celebration!
